sand-dunes behind the beach... but in diving terms this means .. there is so much sand and no interesting habitats, so you won't see much
marine life and only a few metres of depth. If you compare this to the main dive sites on Gran Canaria, the beaches
are a bit like the famous dunes of Maspalomas .. a bit of a desert.
But you are in luck, as from our PADI 5-Star diving centre in Playa de Inglés you can join our try-dives, excursions for beginners, PADI Diver training courses, snorkelling events, and experience dives for qualified divers at the most famous dive site on the island - the El Cabrón Marine Reserve.

Your guide will show you colourful fish like damselfish, wrasse, parrotfish and glasseyes, or bigger species such as angelshark, rays, barracuda, trumpetfish and bonito. If you are into underwater photography then we can find nudibrachs, canarian lobsterette, parrotfish, cleaner shrimps and much more for your photos.

You can enjoy some of the the best scuba diving in Gran Canaria, by joining one of our dive trips, and be back with the family in Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas or Meloneras in time for afternoon tea.
Nearby, Maspalomas also has a very vibrant night-life, and plenty of reasonably priced hotels, have a great dive experience during the day later in the evening hours chilling out watching the sea in the cafe's of Meloneras or shopping in the Yumbo centre.
