These two Apartments are a recent development in Arinaga, opened in mid 2010, and will sleep between 2 and 6, making them ideal for families or small groups of divers and others who want to holiday in a typically Spanish part of Gran Canaria.

If you are looking for a quiet, typically Spanish location, away from the holiday centres of Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles or Puerto Rico, then this may be the ideal destination for you. The apartments are fitted out to a very high standard, and are located in a quiet, residential area of Arinaga, just five minutes walk from the beach, and about 10 minutes from the town centre or our dive centre.

Arinaga is an ideal base from which to explore the North of the island, with the historic centre of Aguimes only ten kilometers away, Las Palmas thirty minutes, and other parts of the island which are off the main tourist trails within easy reach. The apartments are on the main bus route which will take you directly to many parts of the island. So whether you want to base yourself here to explore one of the Canaries most varied islands, or to take part in scuba diving or snorkelling in the El Cabrón Marine Reserve, or other adventure activities in the area such as windsurfing, quad biking or hill walking, If you are looking for a 'solid' diving holiday, such as learning to dive or taking an advanced course, or a multi-dive package of diving, then the proximity to our dive centre makes this an excelent base.

Staying in Arinaga

Arinaga is completely different from the purpose built tourist holiday destinations in the South of Gran Canaria. Until this year there was almost no holiday or short-let accommodation available, and the town has a totally Canarian atmosphere. It has also seen a lot of investment and development with the renovation of the Lime Kilns, the restoration of the old lighthouse, the completion of the 'Avenida' alongside the sea-shore, and investment in schools, sports facilities, parks and other public facilities. There are many excellent restaurants at prices well below the tourist prices of the South, and even the supermarkets can be 30% cheaper.

This apartment covers 3 floors, and is well appointed for a family break or a group of close friends to share.

Kitchen and lounge

This apartment comes with a well appointed kitchen/ lounge/ diner, with a large larder fridge, cooking and preparation facilities. There is a modern seat and table, and the lounge has both TV and Internet access. There is a washing machine under the stairs which lead up to the sleeping areas. For larger groups the sofa can also be converted to a sofa-bed.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas

The main sleeping area is on the second floor, and comprises of a shower/toilet, a double bedroom, and through the bedroom to a smaller single bedroom, in a configuration ideal for families. On the third floor there is additional sleeping space for one or two, although there is no dividing wall.

This apartment is smaller, and located on the ground floor, and is well appointed for a couple or small family or close friends to share.

This apartment has a large open living space with a well appointed kitchen/ lounge/ diner, with a large larder fridge, cooking and preparation facilities. There is a simple dining table and seats, and the apartment has both TV and Internet access.

Main bedroom

The main sleeping area is off to the right, and comprises of a large double bedroom with a low double bed on a plinth, and space for a cot or childs bed.

Shower and Toilet Room

This Apartment has a modern shower room with enclosed shower cubicle. This have been fitted out to a high standard to make effective use of a small space. At the back a door leads to a seperate well ventilated room with the washing machine, which could also be used for drying dive or beach gear.

Notes and how to book these apartments

The owner would prefer to rent the flats on a weekly basis rather than for odd nights, the pricing reflects this with very attractive weekly rates for Saturday to Saturday bookings. At present it is only possible to pay in cash for the apartments, and this should be paid on arrival.
